Our Goals
- Raise awareness of FPE and human factors and ergonomics (HFE) through:
- FPE website and social media presence
- FPE presence as an exhibitor at related professional conferences
- FPE social reception at the HFES International Annual Meeting
- Building relationships with relevant HFE conferences identifying common interest in webinar topics, training courses, etc.
- Identify and share best practices, experiences, and HFE resources through:
- Webinars on core competencies for HFE
- Introductory topical webinars
- Development/teaching of certification review/refresher courses
- Ergonomics toolkit (English, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, etc.)
- Development and update of directory of HFE university programs internationally
- HFE best practices articles
- Participate in efforts to address critical challenges and opportunities through:
- Impact grants for identified needs, especially to developing countries
- A professional alliance with other HFE organizations, including BCPE and HFES
- Recognize and promote professionalism in HFE practice through:
- Dieter W. Jahns Student Practitioner Award
- Ergonomics Practitioner of the Year Award
- Mentoring students and early career professionals
- Special needs funding to struggling HFE practitioners
- Provide outreach to HFE groups globally through:
- Ergonomists without Borders
- International Advisory Committee
