Ergonomics Practitioner of the Year Award

For outstanding and innovative contributions to the practice of ergonomics

The Ergonomics Practitioner of the Year Award is an annual award given to an individual (or group of individuals) who has made outstanding and innovative contributions to the practice of ergonomics in one or more areas related to analysis, design, development, and evaluation of human-compatible process or system(s).  FPE recognizes colleagues who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of ergonomics through their professional lifetime achievements and/or specific implementation projects in any part of the world.  The name(s) of recipients and year of receipt will be inscribed on a permanent display to be showcased at annual meetings.  In addition, there will be a grant of $1000 in the name of the recipient(s) to the FPE’s Ergonomists Without Borders project or other worthy FPE projects to be considered annually.

Nominations are open to all practicing ergonomics professionals anywhere in the world, regardless of their tenure, who, however, are no longer students, but rather have completed their last academic work at least three years previously.

Who We Are

The Foundation for Professional Ergonomics was established in 2004 as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing professionalism in ergonomics through educational activities and awards.  Our goals support the goals of BCPE, and we work closely with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) on various ergonomics practitioner initiatives.  FPE attained an IRS 501(c)(3) status enabling tax-deductible donations from those sharing this dedication to professionalism in ergonomics.
