Ergonomics Practitioner of the Year Award

For outstanding and innovative contributions to the practice of ergonomics

The Ergonomics Practitioner of the Year Award is an annual award given to an individual in recognition for a current project that best demonstrates the beneficial outcome of ergonomics practice in real-world applications. The Award (name(s) inscribed on a plaque in perpetuity) and beginning in 2018 a cash prize ($1,000 US) will be presented during the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) Annual meeting at a social event with the time and place announced before the Annual meeting.

Nominations are open to all practicing ergonomics professionals anywhere in the world, regardless of their tenure, who, however, are no longer students, but rather have completed their last academic work at least three years previously.

Who We Are

The Foundation for Professional Ergonomics was established in 2004 as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing professionalism in ergonomics through educational activities and awards.  Our goals support the goals of BCPE, and we work closely with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) on various ergonomics practitioner initiatives.  FPE attained an IRS 501(c)(3) status enabling tax-deductible donations from those sharing this dedication to professionalism in ergonomics.
