Impact Grants

FPE supports small (pilot) projects in professional ergonomics around the world that demonstrate the impact that ergonomics can have on productivity, safety, and well-being. Check out the results of two recently completed projects in Thailand and Malaysia. Impact Grants are intended as seed funding for small (pilot) projects that could potentially lead to more extensive funding opportunities from other sources in the future. The aim is to support small projects in professional ergonomics around the world that demonstrate the impact that ergonomics can have on productivity, safety, and well-being. Projects have a 12-month period of performance and deliver interim and final reports.  Findings will be published in professional journals with reference to the sources of financial support.

FPE works closely with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE), which allows us to coordinate and collaborate on such projects of mutual interest and value.

These projects were made possible through contributions by HF/E professionals who provided their time, expertise, and financial donations.  If you would like to support these or other FPE projects, visit www.ergofoundation.org.

Who We Are

The Foundation for Professional Ergonomics was established in 2004 as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing professionalism in ergonomics through educational activities and awards.  Our goals support the goals of BCPE, and we work closely with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) on various ergonomics practitioner initiatives.  FPE attained an IRS 501(c)(3) status enabling tax-deductible donations from those sharing this dedication to professionalism in ergonomics.
